What is disruptive grace?

To find out more about what is going on here – choose the “About this” category – as this is intended to be an evolving site where all conversation partners get to contribute to the dreaming.

‘Disruptive grace’ is mearly a metaphor to get us thinking, it is not our term, we’re just borrowing it from others. George Hunsinger titled a collection of essays with the phase. Hunsinger attributes the phrase to the writer Flanney O’Connor. The phase was bought to our attention primarily through a blog post reflecting on the books Irresistible Revolution and Resident Aliens. Along side this is a natural inclination to the contemplative way as exemplified by people such as Peterson.

Basically, this is an online space for dreamers and activists to work out and dream how to live our lives following Jesus in the 21st Century. The aim is not to create an online community – but to augment our everyday lives and to facilitate our ‘off-line’, everyday living.
